Our philosophy: Guide children, educate a community and improve the future.
RAD is a partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and 22 motorsports organizations. Their goal is to provide materials and expertise to promote substance abuse awareness while building a solid foundation that enables motorsports and communities to form partnerships in drug prevention and education.
As a spokesperson for "Race Against Drugs", the Interceptor Team presents the RAD "Be a winner in the race against drugs" presentation. This campaign is designed to appeal to a wide variety of motorsports enthusiasts, communities, families, children, sponsors, promoters, and law enforcement agencies. RAD does not attempt to dot every "i" or cross every "t". Interceptor Team, or IT, program event opportunities are crafted with detail to stimulate individual creative abilities to make the event fit any community or motorsports event. In addition, provide the tools necessary to implement effective drug prevention programs at schools.
An important element to the campaign is the use of positive role models to promote a drug-free lifestyle and the importance of education. With the combined efforts of drivers and their equipment, DEA, FBI, local law enforcement officers, and others that will hold the RAD school programs, the focus is on health, values, self-esteem, and achievement.
Race Against Drugs events go beyond the presentation in the schools. Examples of events include: mall events, all-day (or half-day) events within the community, car shows, or an adopt-a-school program. There are also continuous avenues to maintain involvement. Examples of these efforts include: essay contests, poster contests, community involvement, government involvement, and fundraisers. Details regarding any of the events listed above can be acquired by e-mailing the Interceptor Team.
The fight against drugs and alcohol is more important now than ever. More and more teens are turning to drugs and alcohol and more are turning to crimes to supply their needs. This is affecting schools, families and the communities by costing the economy billions of dollars each year. It is time to add some real power to the war against drugs.
Youth of today are bombarded with what they can't do. Interceptor Team wants to tell them what they can do. Let us show every teen possible that they are special and that uniqueness will guide them to their future. Set goals, make choices and work together to accomplish what is necessary. Being in the fast lane takes concentrated effort and teamwork to get positive results, but it sure can be rewarding! |
