May 5 A full weekend of racing with the Southern Outlaw Tour 2008. This stop at Huntsville Dragway in Huntsville, AL. The Outlaw Tour hosts Outlaw Pro Mods, 10.5's along with a couple heads-up classes and bracket racers for a total of 9 classes of exciting head-to-head racing. Fear of rain Friday kept a few racers and fans away, still a couple thousand fans watched a great first qualifying round. Wonderful weather both Saturday and Sunday turned the weekend around. Over 5,000 fans Saturday watch as qualifiying rounds 2 thru 4 were followed by a 1/8 mile blast by the Interceptor. The fans returned on Sunday for eliminations and watched as the Interceptor closed the show after the finals. It was a fun weekend, filled with action. We would like to thank our host George Howard who has partnered with RPM Magazine for this series. Speaking of RPM, it was a pleasure to meet Karen Bryant with RPM Magazine. We had been to Huntsville two years ago and Maria and I were greeted by many of the track's staff that were happy to see us again. We could not forget all the fans that stopped by all weekend, Thanks. I enjoyed talking, signing autographs and taking pictures with each and everyone of you and glad you all enjoyed our show.

May 14 The second stop on the ADRL tour, South Georgia Motorsports Park in Cecil (Valdosta), GA. this past weekend again packed the house. Fans turned out by the thousands (31,000) to enjoy the best Pro Mod racing around. The weather was great, although a little hot, made for some great racing. Again the Interceptor was popular with the fans as many stopped by to chat, get an autograph or a photo of the car. Thanks to everyone that stopped by, it was very nice to meet all of you. Maria and I enjoyed the pre-race pizza party in Valdosta Thursday night was we talked with drivers and ADRL staff. We spent most of the evening with Flow Masters, Wayne Wolf along with his wife and it was a real pleasure talking with them. Friday we closed the night with a run by the Interceptor. Saturday we made two runs, the first after the second round and again to close the show after a great day of racing. We would like to thank the SGMP saftey crew at the end of the track that gave us a helping hand after each of our runs, great job guys. I would also like to thank Carl Breihan with ARC for the support, the chats and the invite to breakfest Sunday morning. It was also a real pleasure meeting you. A big thanks to Phil Hubbard, Photography by Phil, SGMP photographer for the cool business card holder and great print of the Interceptor in action, amazing. We have an open weekend next week so we would like to thank Tim and Wade with SGMP for letting us hang-out at the track for the week so we could save on a little fuel. Maria and I will enjoy the weekend bracket race along with Maria's first oval track race Saturday night, hope she doesn't like it more than drag racing, no, won't happen.

May 26 Wishing everyone my best on Memorial Day. Thank you to all that serve and have served. This past holiday weekend was filled with a special event at Kanawha Valley Motorsports Park just outside of Charleston, West Virginia. The Beat The Heat, high school challenge and Eastern Finals brought out Beat The Heat teams from West Virginia, Ohio, Illinois and Tennessee. Beat The Heat made up of current and past police officers and firemen with marked race cars challenge young people to a legal drag race on the track, while teaching them not to race on the streets. Street racing is a very large problem across the country and Beat The Heat helps with local race tracks to give people a safe, fun environment to race with their friends and out run a cop. Beat The Heat members hand out trophys instead of tickets to those that get to the finish line first. Many tracks in the country hold Beat The Heat, Street nights weekly. Check your area for one, you'll have a great time and remember, "Race the strip, not the street". The Interceptor was a big hit with everyone that came out to enjoy the event on Saturday and great weather helped fill the stands. I can't say enough about all the wonderful people that stopped by and thanked us for the show. You're welcome! Along with the Interceptor and Beat The Heat was the High Winding Gear Jammers and a full field of bracket racers, the pits were filled with just about every type of race car and it was a great day of safe racing at this beautiful track. We would like to thank our host Derek Casto with Kanawha Valley for all the hospitallity. We enjoyed our visit and had a wonderful time. Last but not least, all the Beat The Heat members. Each time we run a Beat The Heat event the fun meter is full tilt and we never go without a meal, man these guys can eat and eat. We were awarded a plaque for fastest race car at the event from Beat The Heat's Jim Butler, way cool, thanks. We also had the opportunity to be part of the coverage by Charleston, WV. Channel 13 News which included some Interceptor on track footage and a short interview with the driver, me.
