| JANUARY 10 Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Maria and I would like to thank everyone for a fantastic 2007 season. We met so many new fans last year, at times it was almost overwhelming, thanks so much. We also were able to see many of our family, friends and fans we had not seen since our last visit to each area, it's always fun to get together. We would like to thank each and every one of you, including our sponsors the track owners, managers and their hard working staff. I know, sounds like an award speech, but that is how I feel, thankful. Moving on. We are on the tail end of our down-time, guess the vacations over, time to get back to work with much to do. We have started our pre-season maintenace program, getting all of our equipment ready for 2008. From servicing the motor coach and stocking the trailer, to inspecting every part of the Interceptor. Everything gets a once over to insure safety and quality so we can bring you the best show possible. I have also been busy, working on our 2008 schedule, which will bring us to some new parts of the country this year. I look forward to meeting our fans at these tracks and hope we can make some new ones. I hope you enjoy the new Blogs page and check back weekly during the season. I will post weekly to keep you up to date on what we are doing, where we have been and some of my thoughts as we travel the country to bring you "The World's Fastest Police Car". |
| JANUARY 28 Well, our pre-season maintenace program is in full swing. We had some warranty issues with our new stacker trailer that had to be taken care of. A road trip to the Waco, TX. Cargo Mate factory and our trailer is brand new again. Also had some minor problems with the motorhome that had to be addressed and happy to report all is looking good. We have been working on the Inteceptor, only a few changes for 2008. Found some metal cracks as we inspected the tail-pipe and afterburner section, which is pretty normal, it does get a little hot back there. With some help from our Miller TIG welding equipment, the pipes ready to go. We were able to take a few pounds off the car for this year with one of the changes we had made. It's not going to make to car all that much faster, but every little bit helps. It probably would help more if I would stick to my diet, way to many holiday cookies. I am also continuing to work on our schedule, unfortunately we have had to turn down many events because of conflict within our schedule. It is starting to take shape as we are also hoping to cut down on mileage this year to conserve fuel, "Think Green". Hope we visit your area. One of the largest costs in our yearly budget is travel expenses. We have just put the finishing touch on our new sponsorship package and hope to attract some new sponsors to enhance our program. You can help by buying products from the companies that sponsor the Interceptor Team. They help us bring the Interceptor to you. |
